As Vice President, Margaret Alston brings to Privacy Council a unique combination of executive management experience and technical expertise in the fields of consulting, human resources, business process, and performance improvement/training. With two advanced related degrees, Ms. Alston was a senior instructional systems design and training consultant for Fortune 50 companies. In addition to valuable hands-on experience, Ms. Alston has served in senior executive, P&L responsible positions for IT and business consulting organizations. She has built, organized, staffed and managed consulting organizations and departments for Modis, E&Y Cap Gemini and Populi. Ms. Alston has sourced and managed thousands of consultants, hundreds of projects, and over $15 million in revenue.

Currently leading the Advisory Services business unit for Privacy Council, Ms. Alston has built a superior data protection consulting team, with the methodologies and processes necessary to satisfy clients with effective and efficient results.

Prior to joining Privacy Council, Ms. Alston was a co-founder and vice president of Populi. She has participated at an executive level in business planning and modeling, methodology and process organization and venture capital activities.

Ms. Alston holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and master’s degrees from Amber University and Texas A&M University. She is certified in Commercial Mediation.
